Welcome to Bal-maiden's Cottage
Bal-maiden's Cottage is a traditional miner's (and bal-maiden's) cottage set in some of Cornwall's most spectacular countryside. It offers very comfortable accommodation for up to three people in two bedrooms.
The area is great for walking - the South West Coast Path is just minutes away, and there are many lovely inland walks across the moorland. There are pristine beaches nearby for swimming and picnicking. There is also plenty for birdwatchers and other nature lovers. The art galleries of St Ives and St Just provide a stimulating alternative to outdoor pursuits, and indeed the light and stunning scenery of the area may move you to set up an easel yourself! But it is the old engine houses and chimneys standing on the nearby cliffs that add a unique dimension to this corner of the country - a poignant reminder of the women and men who toiled in the tin and copper mines over the centuries.
